From your Pastor;

       The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
                                                                          Psalm 34:18

         Too many Christians falsely believe that God only wants our spirit to be humble when we ask for and receive forgiveness. We should know however that God wants our spirit in a state of contrition at all times.  Even though you may not sin constantly, God wants your spirit humbled before Him constantly, because your flesh can be stirred up at any moment. When you fail to keep your spirit humble before God, it is the beginning of you losing your watchfulness before God.

      The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart O God,  You will not despise.

                                                                           Psalm 51:17

       Some Christians do not sense any uneasiness in their inner man after they have sinned. A healthy and proper spirit will be broken before God, just as David’s was. It is not difficult for God to restore one whose spirit is broken, humbled, and contrite.

For thus says the high and exalted One, Who lives forever, whose name is holy. “I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly spirit, in order to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
                                                                           Isaiah 57:15

 Why don’t we today humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God.
