What is the normal Christian life?

It is something far different than the average Christian has come to know.  The Apostle Paul gave us a definition in Gal. 2:20 "...it is no longer I who live, but Christ..."  Paul is not telling of a special or peculiar life given to some and not others; rather he is presenting God's idea of the normal Christian life.

God makes it quite clear in His Word, that there is only one answer to every human need - Jesus Christ His Son.  The Son of God died instead of us for our greatest need - forgiveness.  The Son of God lives instead of us for our second greatest need - deliverance.  He was our substitute for death on the cross, and He is our substitute for life today within.

The normal Christian life must begin with a very definite "knowing" of this.  Not just the knowing of something about truth, or the knowing of some doctrine.  But the opening of the eyes of your heart to know what you have in Jesus Christ.

Part of this knowing is found in Romans 6:6 ...knowing this, that our old self was cucified with Him...  The tense of the verb puts this event in the past, it is final, once for all.

It cannot be undone.  Our old man has been crucified once and forever.  It cannot be un-crucified .  Hallelujah!!!

     This you need to know.
