We have come to a third week of the
"Normal Christian Life"

Paul wrote I thank God through Jesus Christ...!  We seem to think of the Christian life as a "changed life" but it is not that at all.  What God offers us is an "exchanged life" a "substituted life" and Christ is our Substitute.  "I live, and yet no longer I, but Christ in me..."  The normal Christian life is not a life that I must produce, it is Christ's own life being reproduced in us.

How can we live victorious, righteous, & holy?  First we must understand that Christ could never be copied.  God does not give strength to imitate Christ.  The normal Christian life is not to be aspired to through patient progress.  That is not God's goal or method, no, Paul said, "Yet no longer I, but Christ liveth in me."  This statement shows you and I that only Christ can satisfy God's heart.  This is to say that only Christ's life gives God satisfaction in the believer, and there is no substitute.  "Not I but Christ..." means Christ instead of me or you.  The normal Christian life is the Christ life.  Christ in us living our life.

...to whom God willed to make known what is the
riches of the glory of this mystery among the
Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:27

So when someone says "go live for Christ" what is meant is "go let Christ live in you."
