From your Pastor;

                                                                         What does Easter really mean?

      That question is often asked me more by children then by adults. One – it is new is the mind of a child. It has become old hat for the adult.  Two – the child sees beyond the celebration of chocolate eggs. The adult sees it as a time for family reunion.

                                                               So what does “Easter really mean for us?”

     The Cross was the means God used to bring to an end the “old things” the “old man”. However Easter (the resurrection) was the means God used to impart to us all that was necessary for our new life in Christ.

     “We were buried with Him through baptism into death; that like as Christ we raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.”  Romans 6:4

     The greatest negative in the world was the cross, whereby God wiped out everything that was not of Himself. The greatest positive in the universe was the resurrection, for through it God will bring about all that He will have in the new world. So the resurrection stands at the threshold for all who would have eternal life.

      The Cross ends all that belongs to the first world. The Resurrection (Easter) introduces all that belongs to the new world, the spiritual world, the reborn world, the new heaven and new earth.

      Easter brings and gives opportunity for all who would; to experience a new start, a fresh chance, a new life.  The Bible calls it eternal, we know it as life in Christ.

           What is holding you back from experiencing it today? Come just as you are, hear the Savior’s call.
