From your Pastor;

           In Matthew 22 the Pharisees tried to trap Jesus with the question, “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Instead of getting into a discussion of particulars, Jesus went right to the essence of God’s truth.
                 Do you love God first and most?
    This passage diagnoses the spiritual cancer that happens when our love for God becomes corrupt with our love for self and our love for pleasure.  Whenever “what feels good or right” takes precedence over the principles of God, you will spiral down.
    Loving God might be simple, but it is far from easy.
Daily we are confronted with desires that compete for God’s place in our heart. Loving God, begins first with grace. Knowing and realizing what He has done and what He has offered you. Knowing and realizing His commitment to you.
     If Christ is in you, and you realize what He has done, how can you not keep Him first? Ah, ha, but some in the last days will not.  For Paul writes;
     “Remember that there will be difficult times in the last days, people will be selfish, greedy, boastful, and conceited, they will be insulting, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and irreligious, they will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent, and fierce; they will hate the good; they will be treacherous, they will love pleasure rather than God; they will hold to the outward form of our religion, but reject its real power. Keep away from such people.”         2 Timothy 3:1-5

       In all of Bible prophecy there are two camps. The one prophesied of,  and the other.
In 2 Timothy  I pray, you would be of the other. Hold fast my brothers, love God most of all for the Lord’s Day is near.
                                                                                   Bro. Clay
