From your Pastor;

       Praise of God is the greatest work you will every do. God’s name is exalted through praise. There is nothing you can offer that will surpass praise.
        Sacrifice is important to God yet “the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination.”  Proverbs 21:27
Never though do you hear of praise being an abomination.
        Prayer also occupies an important role in your life, but we are told “He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”  Proverbs 28:9.  We have never read, however, of any praise being abominable.
       In the Old Testament building of the tabernacle we find Moses following God’s plan to the “T”. Moses would never have added to or changed God’s plan.  Aaron’s sons when presenting offering to the Lord brought strange fire before God and were killed.
      Uzzah in  2 Samuel 6 touched the “Ark” and died. He violated the command of God. No one would dare challenge or change the plans of God.
However David, setup changes in the priesthood when he established men to lead in the praising of God. David knew better than to change the order established by God, for the service in the tabernacle. However no fire came down from heaven to consume them, to plague or disaster came upon them. This fact indicates,  God was accepting of the praise. When praise was introduced into the service it was not rejected.
         So, let us remember, there can be abominable prayer, there can be abominable sacrifice, but there can never be abominable praise when it is genuine.
 “Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them.”
                                                     Psalm 22:3,4

Why not start 2016 with the genuine praise of God
