From your Pastor;

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
                                                                Matthew 5:14,15

The bible teaches two options for our lives. Option #1 is to be squeezed. Option #2 is to be transformed. You can allow your life, your morals, your values, even your convictions to be shaped by the world around you. Or you can allow your life to be remolded, reshaped, and redesigned by the presence and working of the Holy Spirit within you. The choice is yours.
     Paul said it like this; since you know how much God loves you, since you’ve seen His work on the cross for you, don’t let the world around you squeeze you into it’s mold, but rather let God change you from the inside out, that you may demonstrate in practice the good, acceptable and loving and life-giving will of God for you.
    Don’t let the world squeeze you into materialism, or self-centeredness, or even worse a wishy-washy religion that revolves around what can church do for me? Remember the church is not your servant, you are a servant in the church.
     Think of it this way. Everyone wants to climb the ladder of success. Which is fine if Christ is in control.
It has been well said that the man holding the ladder at the bottom is as important as the man climbing the ladder to the top. Everyone wants to be the man at the top. Just remember you won’t stay there long without the man at the bottom holding the ladder.

        Make sure Jesus is holding your ladder. If He’s not, hang on tight because you’re about to fall.
