Jesus said to her, "I am the ressurrection and the life, he who believes in Me will live even if he dies..."

John 11:25

Resurrection is that which has encountered death and survives.  Death came to man in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God.  Ever since then we have been unable to endure death.

Resurrection speaks of what passes through death but is not held by it.  Jesus showed Thomas his scars not to prove He had been wounded and died, but to prove He ws wounded to death and ye He lives.  Jesus bears the imprint of death.

So it must be in our case.  Do you have something in your life which does not bear the imprint of death?  Something you're hanging on to?  You may appear to be talented, gifted, or strong in certain areas.  But if those talents, gifts, or strength do not bear the imprint of death then they are all being accompliched by your own power and not the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus.

Remember what Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me..."  Galatians 2:20  Paul carried about the imprint of his deth.  Paul lived a resurrected life through the power of Jesus Christ his Lord.  How about you?

How shall we who died to sin, still live in it?
