"Do you believe this?"

John 11:26

Martha believed in the power of Jesus, she believed that if He had been there her brother would have been healed, she believed that Jesus had special intimacy with God, and whatever He asked, God would do.  But she, like so many today, needed a closer personal intimacy with Jesus.

All the time Jesus had spent with her, finally developed in her, this beautiful confession,

Yes, Lord I believe, that You are the Christ...v.27

Is Jesus teaching you to have personal intimacy with Him?  Are you facing doubt in your life?  Have you come to a crossroads of overwhelming circumstances where your theology and your reality are about to collide?

To believe is to commit.  In our intellectual thinking we commit mentally.  In our moral thinking we commit to our convictions.  So in our spiritual thinking we must commit to Jesus Christ.  So that when face to face with Him and He says,

"Do you believe this?"

We find that our faith and trust in Him has become as easy as breathing.  So the question of the day is, Do you believe, as He wants you to?
